3don another note, fedora server comes with a "cockpit": a pretty webui where you can see everything going on your server, access to the terminal, see logs of failed services... i'm pretty sure it's because i checked some box in the installer but i found this really cool after setting up most of my infrastructure with NixOS :3

3dtook my whole afternoon just to setup this iceshrimp instance. i wanted to set-up something different and spin up a Fedora Server VM. I also wanted to play with podman but it kind of got messy with SELinux complaining about postgres container. The real reason isn't that though because adding the z flag at the end seemed enough. I couldn't manage to connect to the database (yeah, i did use the name of the service "db" and not localhost/127.0.0.1).
Manual installation turned out annoying because i had to move everything into its little folder and all. But now seems like everything is working fine :)
